Walter is a partner at Hand & Ledesma, P.C. who specializes in the representation of injured plaintiffs in personal injury and defendants in criminal cases. Born in Salinas, California, Walter grew up in Watsonville, California.
Walter went to California State University, Chico and graduated with his Bachelor's degree in 1987.
Walter attended Northwestern School of Law of Lewis and Clark College earning his Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1992. After law school, he practiced in Multnomah, Washington, and Clackamas counties. Later, he practiced before the appellate courts of Oregon for eight years with the Office of Public Defense Services. He became a partner at Klein, Hand & Ledesma in 2005.
Walter is active in the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association and is a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association. He is currently active with the appellate practice section of the Oregon State Bar. He is the author of articles on criminal defense and co-authored a chapter in the Oregon State Bar CLE on Criminal Law.
